Job summary

PT. Edukasi Mandiri Pratama seeks a Senior Teaching Manager to oversee the center's academic functions and drive quality improvements.

You will recruit and support teachers, coordinate lesson planning, scheduling and administration, ensuring robust records and student progress. The role reports to the Center Director and Academic Operations Manager; responsibilities include meetings with parents, placement testing, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have 120H World TESOL/TEFL qualification.
• CELTA/DELTA optional subject to terms.
• IELTS speaking score minimum 7.5.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in management, ideally in service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee academic operations of the center and improve quality.
• Recruit, support and develop teachers; induction and training.
• Finalize teaching schedule and manage substitutions.
• Ensure lesson plans, materials, attendance and records are kept.
• Conduct parent and student meetings; coordinate professional development.
• Handle disciplinary procedures and assist marketing activities.

Job description

The Senior Teaching Manager is responsible for overseeing the academic functions of the center, maintaining and improving academic quality, recruiting, supporting and developing teachers, and coordinating related administrative tasks.

Supervision: Reports to the Center Director and Academic Operations Manager

Teacher recruitment and teacher evaluation

Supporting and assisting teachers with duties such as lesson planning and marking

Induction and training of teachers

Finalizing the teaching schedule

Teaching classes as assigned

Arranging substitution for absent teachers

Dealing with complaints concerning the academic operations of the center

Ensuring that teachers prepare a lesson plan and necessary materials in advance for every lesson

Ensuring that teachers complete the class attendance register accurately and promptly for every lesson

Ensuring that teachers keep timely and accurate lesson and homework records

Ensuring that teachers keep up-to-date records of assessment scores

Ensuring that teachers complete student reports and certificates

Conducting meetings with parents and students as required

Conducting placement tests when required

Planning, running and participating in the center's professional development program

Any other related administrative tasks that may arise

Handling disciplinary procedures for teachers

Assisting with marketing activities

Requirements:

Can be placed in English 1 Manado and/or Makassar and/or Gowa

CELTA/DELTA certificate is optional subject to terms and conditions.

120H World TESOL/TEFL qualification is mandatory.

IELTS speaking score min. 7.5

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Ability to prioritize multiple projects
