Talkative English Learning Centre (TELC) is seeking a Part-Time English Teacher to deliver engaging, student-focused lessons at TELC. You will conduct both face-to-face and online sessions from the TELC office, following provided objectives, materials, and guidance to help learners improve their English.

The role emphasizes reliable availability, structured instruction, and the ability to foster speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in learners of various ages.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English.
• Clear and understandable pronunciation.
• Explain things in a simple and patient way.
• Enjoy talking with and helping people.
• Comfortable interacting with children, teenagers, and/or adults.
• Follow structured teaching instructions and prepared materials.
• Be observant and recognize when a learner is struggling.
• Adjust explanations when necessary.
• Encourage learners rather than simply correcting every mistake.
• Be responsible, punctual, and dependable.
• Willing to learn and receive feedback.
• Can use basic computers, online meeting platforms, and collaborative documents.

Responsibilities

• Come to the TELC office for your assigned teaching sessions.
• Conduct face-to-face lessons with students attending TELC.
• Conduct online lessons from the TELC office for students attending remotely.
• Follow the lesson objectives, materials, activities, and teaching guidance provided for each session.
• Explain concepts clearly and appropriately for the learner's English level.
• Encourage students to actively speak, think, respond, ask questions, and use English.
• Guide students to develop their own answers rather than simply giving answers to them.
• Ask useful follow-up questions and encourage meaningful discussion.
• Create a comfortable learning environment where students are not afraid of making mistakes.
• Observe students strengths, difficulties, participation, confidence, and progress.
• Provide concise and useful observations after teaching sessions.
• Give constructive and encouraging feedback.
• Be punctual and professionally prepared for confirmed classes.
• Use TELC's teaching resources, computers, documents, and digital tools as required.
• Participate in training and professional development when required.
