Job Summary

Under direct supervision, responsible for applying paint, stain, and other finishes to machining parts using the required methods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards and monitor target achievement to address problems immediately.
2. Apply paint to machining parts.
3. Clean and store paint and painting tools and equipment properly.
4. Verify that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available on the line.
5. Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
6. Track processes to ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.
7. Adhere to all safety rules, use, and ensure workers use the required protective equipment.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
9. Follow all safety, health, and security procedures as directed by the supervisor.
10. Comply with company security policies.
11. For S02 grade, may have higher targets to achieve.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision is typically provided by the Painting Line Leader and the Special Process Production Supervisor.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements

• Basic knowledge of painting, workmanship, quality, defect identification, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and visual inspection in chemical process testing is preferable.
• Knowledge of FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
• Other knowledge as required by the Company Competency Matrix.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, or
• 6 months to 1 year of experience, or
• A combination of education, experience, and training.
• Must obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.

Working Conditions

The work environment is on the manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels. The primary workstation location is on the manufacturing floor.
