Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Packaging Graphics Designer to oversee the end-to-end development of packaging graphics, from headquarters design to manufacturable packaging structures. You will supervise layered designs, ensure translations and legal compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to guarantee accuracy and on-time approvals across market labels.

Ideal candidates hold a Visual Communication Design degree, have 1+ year in packaging graphics, and are proficient in Illustrator/Photoshop.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design or related field.
• At least 1 year of packaging graphic design experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.
• Able to create 2D packaging mockups.
• Strong sense of color and composition.
• Proficient in business English communication.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Willing to be based in Cikarang.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of packaging graphics from HQ to manufacturable design and structure.
• Supervise layered packaging designs and ensure timely adherence to printing requirements for piloting and production.
• Ensure packaging complies with language translations and latest country-specific legal requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and conformance to specs, including legal names and print proofs.
• Establish and manage on-time review processes for packaging artworks and approve market labels in line with project timelines.

• Oversee the comprehensive development of packaging graphics, managing the process from the initial design phase at the headquarters to the creation of a fully manufacturable packaging design and structure.
• Supervise the management and approval of layered packaging designs, ensuring timely adherence to printed packaging requirements for piloting and production.
• Ensure that all packaging complies with the appropriate copy language translations, incorporating the latest legal requirements and regulations specific to each country.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to guarantee that packaging graphics are accurate, conforming to all specifications, including legal names and print proofs.
• Establish and manage on-time review processes for assigned packaging artworks and ensure the approval of market labels in alignment with project timelines.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design or a related art and design field.
• At least 1 year of experience in packaging graphic design (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or other graphic design software.
• Able to create 2D packaging mockups.
• Strong sense of color and composition.
• Proficient in time management and maintaining digital graphic assets.
• Quick to learn printing materials and operations.
