A leading agency is seeking an Overseas Business Development Coordinator to assist Korean companies in penetrating the Indonesian market. This position involves market research, facilitating B2B meetings, and supporting negotiation efforts, catering primarily to consumer goods and e-commerce sectors. KOTRA(KoreaTrade InvestmentPromotionAgency)are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Overseas Business Development Coordinator. This role supports Korean companies that do not have local branches by acting as their overseas representative. You will be responsible for export support activities including market research, buyer discovery, and facilitating local business meetings.
Job Description:
This position will conduct various marketing activities on behalf of Korean SMEs trying to penetrate the Indonesian Market. Detailed expected activities are like below:
Market research and analysis to illustrate the Indonesian market to Korean clients.
Finding sales opportunities for Korean clients and bridging Indonesian buyers and Korean clients.
Supporting negotiation and communication between Korean clients and buyers to make a deal ultimately.
You may cover various products, which requires fast learning skills and network-establishing skills with new Indonesian buyers in various fields.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent and support 7–8 Korean companies in overseas market development
Identify potential buyers, distributors, or partners in the local market
Conduct market research and report key trends and opportunities
Arrange and support B2B meetings between Korean companies and local clients
Provide ongoing communication and coordination between Korean clients and local stakeholders
Prepare business reports, meeting summaries, and follow-up documentation
Support logistics or administrative tasks related to promotional events or trade missions
Organize trade shows and arrange B2B meetings at the trade show
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree
E-commerce and digital marketing experience is preferred
Experience in importing and distributing consumer goods is preferred (including BPOM registration)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Korean proficiency is a plus)
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple clients
Familiarity with market research methods, data collection, and reporting
Comfortable working independently and as part of a multicultural team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); CRM or trade platforms a plus
