Job summary

Japfa, a leading agribusiness group, seeks an experienced Operational Technology (OT) leader in Indonesia to define and implement OT strategies across its facilities. You will design system architectures for automation, SCADA, cybersecurity, and industrial networks, and guide projects from design to handover.

You must have 5+ years in OT or industrial automation, hands-on PLC experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi), and strong leadership and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years in Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation, or control system environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery, manufacturing processes, and equipment operation.
• English fluency; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

2. Develop system planning and architecture for OT solutions, including electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, SCADA, industrial networking, and cybersecurity.
3. Establish and maintain standards, procedures, and governance for OT systems and infrastructure.
4. Plan, coordinate, and lead OT projects from design, implementation, and commissioning through to system handover.
5. Analyze operational and technical challenges and determine appropriate technology solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
6. Develop and execute improvement programs focused on automation, system integration, digitalization, and operational optimization.
7. Conduct technical coaching, knowledge transfer, and competency development activities for internal teams and stakeholders.
8. Initiate and lead continuous improvement and innovation projects to enhance OT system effectiveness, efficiency, and security.

Requirements (English)

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation, or control system environments.
3. Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
4. Hands‑on experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi).
5. Strong understanding of industrial machinery, manufacturing processes, and equipment operation.
6. Fluent in English and Mandarin proficiency will be a strong advantage.
7. Strong leadership, planning, communication, analytical thinking, and conceptual thinking capabilities.
8. Willingness to travel extensively and be placed across company operations in Indonesia.

Responsibilities (Indonesian)

1. Mengembangkan dan mengarahkan strategi serta inisiatif Operational Technology (OT) untuk mendukung keandalan operasional, efisiensi, dan tujuan transformasi digital.
2. Menyusun perencanaan dan arsitektur sistem untuk solusi OT, termasuk sistem kelistrikan, instrumentasi, otomasi, SCADA, jaringan industri, dan keamanan siber.
3. Menetapkan serta memelihara standar, prosedur, dan tata kelola untuk sistem dan infrastruktur OT.
4. Merencanakan, mengoordinasikan, dan memimpin proyek OT mulai dari tahap desain, implementasi, commissioning, hingga serah terima sistem.
5. Menganalisis tantangan operasional dan teknis serta menentukan solusi teknologi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan keandalan sistem.
6. Mengembangkan dan melaksanakan program perbaikan yang berfokus pada otomasi, integrasi sistem, digitalisasi, dan optimalisasi operasional.
7. Melaksanakan pembinaan teknis, transfer pengetahuan, dan pengembangan kompetensi bagi tim internal serta pemangku kepentingan terkait.
8. Menginisiasi dan memimpin proyek inovasi serta perbaikan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, dan keamanan sistem OT.

Kualifikasi (Indonesian)

1. Pendidikan minimal Sarjana (S1) Teknik Elektro.
2. Memiliki pengalaman minimal 5 tahun di bidang Operational Technology (OT), otomasi industri, atau sistem kontrol industri.
3. Memiliki pemahaman yang kuat mengenai sistem otomasi dan kontrol industri.
4. Memiliki pengalaman praktis dalam pemrograman PLC dan sistem otomasi industri (misalnya Siemens dan Mitsubishi).
5. Memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai mesin industri, proses manufaktur, dan pengoperasian peralatan produksi.
6. Mampu berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggris dengan baik; kemampuan berbahasa Mandarin menjadi nilai tambah.
7. Memiliki kemampuan kepemimpinan, perencanaan, komunikasi, berpikir analitis, dan berpikir konseptual yang kuat.
8. Bersedia melakukan perjalanan dinas yang intensif dan ditempatkan di berbagai lokasi operasional perusahaan di seluruh Indonesia.
