Job summary

Beyondsoft is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator for our aviation client to ensure optimal database health, performance, and reliability. The role requires hands-on tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and seamless integration with cloud services.

You will collaborate with application, data and cloud infrastructure teams to safeguard service availability and resilience. The ideal candidate has strong Oracle DBA experience (2+ years or more), familiarity with managed Oracle

Qualifications

• Oracle DBA experience required.
• Experience with cloud-based Oracle services.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery, high availability and monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose complex Oracle DB and application interactions.

• Assess database health, configuration, capacity and performance.
• Perform SQL and database tuning, indexing review and execution plan analysis.
• Support backup, recovery, patching, maintenance and resilience activities.
• Investigate database related incidents, locking, latency, storage and connectivity issues.
• Advise on scaling, parameter configuration, monitoring and operational best practices.
• Support change implementation, testing, rollback planning and post change validation.
• Document findings, recommendations, actions and residual risks.
• Coordinate with application, data and cloud infrastructure teams while protecting service availability.

Requirements:

• Strong Oracle database administration and performance tuning experience.
• Experience with managed Oracle database services in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery, high availability, security and monitoring.
• Ability to diagnose complex database and application interaction issues.
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Oracle professional certification is preferred.
• Typically 2 years or more of Oracle DBA experience.
