Job summary

PT Rohto Laboratories Indonesia in Jakarta is hiring an Optometry professional to join our eye clinic team. You will perform comprehensive eye examinations, assist in prescribing glasses and contact lenses, and support ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative care, while ensuring patient comfort and clinic efficiency.

The role requires a D3 or Bachelor’s in Optometry, active STR with IROPI, at least 2 years of clinic experience, and proficiency with refraction tests and diagnostic equipment.

Job description

Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including basic and advanced eye examinations

Assist in identifying vision problems and provide appropriate optical solutions, including glasses and contact lenses

Support ophthalmologists in pre- and post-operative patient care and assessments

Conduct preliminary eye screenings and assist in maintaining smooth patient flow within the clinic

Provide patient education on eye health, lens usage, and proper eye care practices

Operate and ensure proper maintenance and calibration of optometry and diagnostic equipment

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with clinic standards

Support clinic administrative processes and ensure compliance with applicable regulation

Build and maintain good relationships with patients through professional and patient-centered service

Collaborate with the medical and management team to support smooth clinic operations and continuous improvement initiatives

Participate in and support clinic development activities, including marketing initiatives, promotional programs, and community engagement

Qualifications

Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree in Optometry (Refraksi Optisien)

Possesses a valid and active STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) and is an active member of IROPI

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an Eye Clinic or Eye Hospital

Preferably experienced in performing refraction tests and comprehensive eye examinations, including operating advanced diagnostic equipment

Willing to obtain a Practice License (SIP)

Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient care standards, and medical ethics

Good communication skills, professional attitude, and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Ability to communicate in English / Japanese for daily communication is a plus

Proficient in computer usage and basic digital systems

Based in Jakarta or willing to be based in Jakarta
