Job summary

PT Prima Sarana Makmur is seeking a Laser Cutting Operator to operate laser cutting machines, prepare materials, and set up parameters according to drawings and instructions. You will perform quality checks, basic finishing, and routine maintenance while ensuring safety and production targets are met.

The role requires SMK or equivalent in a relevant field, reading technical drawings, and basic troubleshooting. Shifts and overtime may be required as part of duties.

Qualifications

• SMK or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
• Experience as Laser Cutting Operator is an advantage.
• Able to read technical drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.
• Able to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understand basic operation of Laser Cutting machines and set parameters.

• Verify cutting results meet specified dimensions, shapes, and tolerances.

• Perform simple finishing on cutting results when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of machines and work areas.
• Perform routine/basic machine maintenance.
• Report machine damage or non-conforming results and production obstacles.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, safety standards, and production targets.

Job description

Operate laser cutting machines according to drawings, programs, and work instructions. Prepare materials before the cutting process and ensure materials meet specifications. Set up machines including cutting parameters, material position, and programs according to production needs. Ensure cutting results meet specified dimensions, shapes, and tolerances. Perform quality checks on cutting results and measurements using measuring tools. Perform simple finishing on cutting results if required. Maintain cleanliness and condition of machines and work areas. Perform routine/basic machine maintenance according to instructions. Report any machine damage, cutting results that do not meet specifications, or obstacles during the production process. Ensure work processes follow SOP, occupational safety standards (K3), and production targets.

About you

• Minimum education: SMK in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering or related field
• Experience as a Laser Cutting Operator is an advantage
• Able to read technical drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances
• Able to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Understand basic operation Laser Cutting machines
• Have basic capability in machine parameter setting and light troubleshooting
• Meticulous, disciplined, responsible, and able to work towards targets
• Willing to work shifts and overtime if required
