Field Service Technician - Material Handling Equipment

Our client, a leading provider of material handling solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to serve the Tangerang area. This critical role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated material handling equipment, such as conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) at client warehouses and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical expertise, experience with industrial automation, and a passion for ensuring operational efficiency for our clients. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex issues, performing timely repairs, and executing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. This hands-on position requires the ability to work independently, manage service calls effectively, and maintain accurate service documentation. Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission new material handling equipment at customer sites.

• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and client needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, ideally with material handling equipment, robotics, or industrial automation.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize tasks in Tangerang.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to various customer locations within the service area, sometimes on short notice.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and communication purposes.
