Job summary

PT Worley Sea Indonesia is seeking an Operations Readiness Engineer (Contract Based) to review detailed designs, execution plans and project execution processes for our Indonesian team.

You will conduct inspections, participate in pre-commissioning and handover activities, and help prepare commissioning reports while coordinating with Operations to meet project goals. Candidates should have 5–7 years in mining/oil & gas projects and a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in mining, oil and gas operations project.
• Experience as an operational readiness engineer is preferred.
• Mining or resources industry experience is advantageous.
• Must demonstrate duty of care to manager, coworkers and community.

Responsibilities

• Review detailed engineering design, execution plan and project execution process.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure construction aligns with design and prepare reports.
• Participate in pre‑commissioning, prestart commissioning and handover processes.
• Assist in preparing commissioning and handover reports.
• Define Operations Readiness activity plans to meet client goals and follow up execution.
• Ensure O&M procedures are produced in line with best practice and on time.
• Monitor OR activities and escalate delays to Project Management.
• Liaise with Production Operations to deliver inputs for detailed engineering.

What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a Operations Readiness Engineer to join our Indonesia team.

The role responsibilities include:

Reviewing the detailed engineering design, execution plan, and project execution process.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure that all construction processes are in accordance with the design and are conduct correctly also create a report and discuss findings that need to be coordinated and followed up.

Participate in the pre commissioning process, prestart commissioning, and the handover process.

Assist in preparing reports on commissioning and handover results.

Define the Operations Readiness activity plan to meet the client's Development Project goals and follow up execution.

Ensuring that Operations and Maintenance procedures are produced in accordance with the best practice in a timely manner.

Monitoring progress of OR activities, reporting significant delays to Project Management and engaging external service providers directly to complete overdue tasks.

Liaise with Production Operations team to deliver all the existing facilities inputs required for the detail engineering. Communicate proactively with other team members.

What You’ll Have:

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in mining, oil and gas operations Project.

Prior experience as an operational readiness engineer

Prior experience in the mining or resources industry is advantageous

Tertiary qualifications in engineering or other relevant discipline

Demonstrate behaviour and practices consistent with Managerial, co-worker and community duty of care obligations.

Work with the Project HSE Advisor and the Project Management Team to ensure that all areas of the Project’s operations conform to applicable
