Job description

Our client, a renowned holistic wellness studio and gluten-free café in Ubud is seeking an experienced Operations & Purchasing Manager to take on a leadership role, driving cost efficiency, system improvements, and overall business performance.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in hospitality operations and purchasing.
  2. Deep knowledge of local suppliers including Bali and Java manufacturers.
  3. Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
  4. Exceptional negotiation skills and proven ability to reduce costs.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong ability to manage people and systems in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  7. Emotionally intelligent - kind, honest, humble, and respectful.
  8. No over-promising - must be realistic and reliable in delivery.
  9. Bali-based talents only.
  10. Must provide references and verifiable work history.

Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Supply Chain

  1. Secure direct contracts with local manufacturers and distributors.
  2. Access wholesale pricing for food, beverage, and packaging.
  3. Ensure ethical, cost-effective purchasing with long-term savings.
  4. Prepare systems for future expansion into studio merchandise.

Operational Management

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the café and studio administrative duties.
  2. Oversee inventory control and ordering systems.
  3. Provide leadership to an existing admin and kitchen team.
  4. Ensure all operations run efficiently, with minimal waste and no resource misuse.

Team Communication & Shift Coordination

  1. Act as the operational bridge between morning and afternoon shifts.
  2. Ensure consistent communication and information crossover.
  3. Action and resolve all urgent issues or breakdowns in real-time.
