The GFin Regional Operational Risk team is responsible for establishing the Operational Risk Management Framework, developing relevant policies and procedures, overseeing implementation across the region, and collaborating with country teams to improve technological and risk methodologies across markets.

Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a Country Op Risk Manager to implement the Operational Risk Management Framework and coordinate operational risk activities within the local market across all business segments. You will report to the Head of Risk and be based in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Lead country-specific Operational Risk activities to implement the regional framework and align with Enterprise Risk Management policies.
• Assess risk areas and control gaps for new business initiatives; collaborate with the first line of defense to enhance processes and risk mitigations.
• Design and update country Operational Risk profile reports and dashboards, including monthly portfolio analysis and risk heat maps.
• Review and manage Operational Risk incidents, identify potential risks, and strengthen controls in local markets.
• Conduct back testing of controls to evaluate effectiveness, uncover insights, and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with regional and local teams to address core Operational Risk issues and automate mitigation strategies.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• A degree with at least 8 years of experience in the financial services sector.
• Deep understanding of risk management and audit methodologies related to Credit, Lending, and Payment products.
• Strong relationship management and presentation skills, with the ability to manage partners effectively.
• Proficiency in writing risk assessment reports, clearly articulating weaknesses and improvement areas.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects within tight deadlines.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of analyzing large amounts of data accurately.
• Experience in Operational Risk within FinTech or consumer banking sectors.
• Policy writing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of technology or cybersecurity risks.
