Job summary

ABB is seeking a senior quality professional to lead testing, FAT, and quality assurance across Incoming, In-Process, and Outgoing materials for switchgear systems. The role focuses on ISO 9001 and IEC 61439/62271 compliance, supplier audits, and development of relay protection programming.

You will drive risk-based planning, coordinate with local management, and maintain robust documentation while improving the quality management system and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in quality or testing, FAT, commissioning, and operations in switchgear/electrical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025 and IEC 61439/62271 standards.
• Experience leading QA projects including FAT, specification verification, and supplier audits.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and program relay protection systems; familiarity with protection coordination is a plus.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken, with report and meeting leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA testing and FAT for switchgear, ensuring ISO/IEC conformance across all stages.
• Manage supplier audits, inspection, and verification of technical specs.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve QMS, aligned with IEC 62271, ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ISO 14001.
• Drive customer-facing testing activities, documentation, and audit readiness.
