Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to provide full-time site supervision and technical oversight for a data centre project in Batam. You will support the Resident Engineer and Project Manager, ensuring installation quality across structural, architectural, MEP, fire protection, and ICT systems in line with approved drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of construction supervision and QA/QC experience on large-scale facilities.
• Experience with data centre projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP, Fire Protection, ICT/ELV and building services systems.
• Excellent report writing and site documentation skills.
• Willing to be based full-time on site in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and supervise construction activities.
• Verify contractor work against drawings, specs, method statements and permits.
• Review and sign off on QA/QC documentation and NCRs.
• Maintain site diaries, daily reports, and RFI records.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, testing teams and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory codes and safety requirements.
