Job summary

NOV Inc in Indonesia seeks a Field Service Technician to lead field service planning, supervise technicians during rig-up and commissioning, and coordinate with project managers and customers to meet schedules.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues, calibrate equipment, review test results, and travel extensively to onshore and offshore rigs, delivering technical support and training as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in Oil & Gas or similar industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of industry-standard practices and job safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements and develop field service execution plans.
• Supervise Field Service Technicians during rig-up, rig-down, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, and internal teams to meet schedules.
• Provide technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues.
• Ensure proper calibration and equipment performance before deployment.
• Review and validate test results, service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
• Act as a technical contact for customers and provide recommendations and solutions.
• Travel to onshore and offshore rig sites as required and provide on-site support.
