Job description

PT. Volex Indonesia provides high-quality electrical and optical connection solutions to customers around the world. We work closely with our customers throughout their product development cycles to design, develop, and manufacture connection solutions that meet their specific business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research and collaborate with customers and suppliers to meet cable requirements, safety regulations, and reliability test requirements.
2. Establish and maintain product cable specifications, continuously improving for cost efficiency and engaging in Value Engineering activities.
3. Develop test methods for cables to ensure compliance with testing requirements for new products.
4. Support customer inquiries, new project implementations, RFQ processes, and cost reduction initiatives.
5. Participate in cable Value Engineering programs to achieve annual cost reduction targets.
6. Document all material tests, analysis results, and compliance data.
7. Report to and assist the Engineering Manager in coordinating and documenting material development projects.

Job Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, with intercultural competence.
• Familiarity with electrical and cable requirements (low voltage/high voltage/data/power cables), wire harnesses, automotive, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is advantageous; internet literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience in the cable products industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fast learner with a proactive attitude.
• Strong teamwork, coordination, and cooperation skills.
• Resilient, flexible, creative, with a good learning aptitude.
