Job summary

MatchaTalent seeks a Mining Project Manager – Nickel Operations to lead end-to-end greenfield development, infrastructure setup, and production optimization across Indonesian sites. You will oversee fleet optimization, contractor coordination, and production planning while ensuring safety, budget, and schedule adherence.

The role requires hands-on leadership in high-demand mining environments with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related technical discipline.
• POP, POM, or POU certifications are highly preferred.
• 8–10 years of mining operations experience with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Experience in Mining Contractors with cost-control and P&L exposure.
• Experience with Greenfield projects from infrastructure to production and shipping.
• Nickel or other mineral mining background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead greenfield mining project development including hauling roads, jetty construction, pit opening, and site infrastructure.
• Manage end-to-end mining operations including production scheduling, pit planning, fleet management, and operations.
• Optimize fleet matching, equipment ratios, manpower allocation, and site productivity.
• Monitor operational budgeting, cost-per-ton performance, forecasting, and financial efficiency.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, MDO teams, engineering departments, pit services, and local stakeholders.
• Ensure all mining activities comply with HSE standards, mining regulations, and governance requirements.
• Prepare accurate production, operational, and project milestone reports for senior management.
• Drive operational improvements and resolve technical/site-related challenges.
