Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network security solutions (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, DDoS protection).
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco security devices and related technologies (ASA, Firepower, ISE, etc.).
• Monitor network traffic for abnormal activity and potential threats using SIEM tools.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; recommend mitigation plans.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and incident response plans.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to align security architecture.
• Manage and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies or enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  
  

Job Specification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications (Required): Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Security track.
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering roles.
• Strong experience with Cisco security products and enterprise network environments.
• Proven track record in securing large-scale networks and handling advanced security incidents.
• Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and security protocols.
• Strong expertise in Cisco ASA, Firepower, ISE, VPN technologies, and network access control.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Proficient in using security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, etc.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high security standards.
