Job summary

PT Sandvik Indonesia seeks an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing and inspection of welded joints and components in Timika. You will interpret drawings, prepare inspection reports and maintain quality documentation for workshop and site operations.

The role requires a Diploma 3 in Mechanical Engineering, ASNT Level II NDT certification, and a licensed welding inspector credential, with 2–5 years' NDT/welding inspection experience. Proficiency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma 3 in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• ASNT Level II NDT certification (TC 1A) and welding inspector license.
• 2–5 years in NDT and welding inspection in industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT activities in line with standards and procedures.
• Inspect and evaluate welded joints and fabricated components.
• Interpret technical drawings for inspection purposes.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Ensure safety, quality and operational compliance in inspections.
• Coordinate with engineering, workshop, and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement of quality and inspection practices.
