About the role

We are seeking an experienced Naval Engineer Manager to join Our Shipyard Management on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing naval engineering projects, managing technical teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. As Naval Engineer Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our naval engineering initiatives and contributing to the company's growth and reputation in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage naval engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Supervise and mentor a team of naval engineers and technical staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance standards
• Develop and implement technical specifications and engineering designs for naval vessels and maritime structures
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new naval engineering projects and initiatives
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and external partners to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, safety standards and industry best practices
• Manage project documentation, technical drawings and engineering records to maintain comprehensive project archives
• Monitor project performance metrics and prepare regular progress reports for senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative engineering solutions
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of naval engineering work with broader organisational objectives

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in naval engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise in naval vessel design, construction, or marine systems integration
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, classification standards and safety requirements
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and naval engineering analysis tools
• Excellent project management skills with proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising technical professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
