About Our Client

A fast-growing FMCG company with dairy products is looking to hire National Sales Manager position will spearhead the growth and development of the General Trade (GT) channel nationwide and pivotal in boosting distribution, enhancing visibility, and increasing volume sales within traditional trade outlets.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the General Trade (GT) channel from the ground up.
  • Identify regional market opportunities and define route-to-market plans to expand numeric and weighted distribution.
  • Lead the annual and monthly business planning process, including sales forecasting and target setting for the GT channel.
  • Appoint and oversee GT distributors to ensure optimal territory coverage, inventory control, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and freshness across all traditional trade outlets.
  • Execute trade marketing campaigns, consumer promotions, and localized activations to stimulate sales.
  • Monitor in-market execution and competitor activity, making agile adjustments to execution plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align strategies and execution plans for GT.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to influence product innovation, pricing architecture, and go-to-market enhancements.


The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, including 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing the General Trade (GT) channel
  • Experience in building/expanding GT sales operations from the ground up or in new markets across nation/region in Indonesia is a must.
  • Well-established network and strong relationships with local distributors.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a structured, process-oriented approach; skilled in setting up systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing training and performance tracking to optimize sales team efficiency.
