The key responsibility is on Customer Development, Commercial ownership of the Profit and Loss statement as well as the People Development of the assigned country.
Your Role
Supports the implementation of Corporate Strategy for business success and operations in line with the overall company strategy in the Air Logistics business field. The core focus will be Business growth, customer Development and profitability.
Your Responsibilities
Business and Product Development
- Actively own growth opportunities and partner with country and corporate stakeholders
- Act as Co-Pilot for selected GA and NA customers.
- Make commercial decisions in and outside RFQs to win and retain business.
- Acquire or support the acquisition of new business and support account management.
- Promote customer relations and develop the existing client base.
- Localize global Airfreight products to meet market expectations and requirements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities (acquisitions, new services, partners).
- Support and cooperate in defining and implementing global business strategy.
- Engage in extensive exchange with NA peer group on customer/trade development.
- Collaborate with N/ZA-D regarding Strategic Customer/Product Development, Pricing, including final responsibility on pricing/risk exposure for strategic RFQs. Support tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing, and service offering.
- Collaborate closely with KN Group Companies (Apex, Quick, Morgan Cargo) and with KN Perishable Management/PER Group companies where applicable.
Profit Development
- Hold profit and loss responsibility for the assigned country.
- Link financial performance to commercial actions.
- Own P&L and customer profitability.
- Manage RFC.
- Create and monitor the annual budget, initiate corrective actions as needed.
Operations Excellence
- Support the National Team in Operations Management/Strategy as per RACI.
- Ensure daily operational execution as per customer delivery standards.
- Support Corporate Procurement and Carrier Management/Strategy.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Leadership + Human Resources
- Lead national Air Logistics teams.
- Develop talents and manage succession plans.
- Align organization with KN Culture based on KN Roadmap; serve as a role model.
- Identify and develop internal talent pipelines.
- Support talent development, people growth, and international exchange initiatives.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's or first university degree in Business, Logistics, or Engineering.
- Over 5 years of experience in Project Management and international exposure.
- Strong business development skills and commercial acumen.
- Profound background in Air Logistics.
- Leadership qualities, excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, fast-acting, supportive, and self-motivated.
- Project management and coordination skills.
- Goal-oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Open-minded with a willingness to learn.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
