Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced music professionals to evaluate generative AI music models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will assess AI-generated music across genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Indonesian and English.

Key responsibilities include head-to-head comparisons of musicality and production quality, labeling songs by genre and structure, and reviewing lyrics against references. Start date is immediate, duration up to 6 months, approx.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Indonesian with ability to follow English instructions.
• Minimum 2 years in music production or related roles.
• Access to reliable monitoring for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.

You will assess AI-generated music across a wide range of genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Indonesian and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Indonesian, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening

Nice to have

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition
• Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Indonesian genres, sub-genres, and artists

Project Timeline

• Commitment: flexible. Most experts work around 20 hours per week; there is no cap
