Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced musicians to evaluate generative music AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs, rate them on quality and originality, and assess natural language using Indonesian language skills.

Start date is immediate and the project lasts up to 6 months. Expect about 20 hours per week, with compensation paid hourly. The pay structure may move to per-task while keeping the rate.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Indonesian with ability to follow English instructions.
• Experience as songwriter/lyricist/performer/composer or music journalist with Indonesian music scene knowledge.
• Headphones or studio monitors for critical listening.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Indonesian, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English

• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist, with knowledge of the Indonesian music scene

• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening

Nice to have

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition

• Credited or published songwriting work

• Broad familiarity with contemporary Indonesian genres, sub-genres, and artists

Project Timeline

• Commitment: flexible. Most experts work around 20 hours per week; there is no cap
