Job summary

Idea Comindo is seeking a creative Multimedia Journalist & Story Producer to transform current news and real-world events into engaging stories for animated content using Unity. You will research topics, verify information, identify angles, and develop scripts and visual concepts for production.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in journalism, storytelling, scriptwriting, or editorial content production, and is fluent in English with strong Bahasa Indonesia skills.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in journalism, storytelling, scriptwriting, or editorial content production.

Key responsibilities

Research current news, emerging topics, and relevant real-world events.

Monitor English-language and international news sources.

Verify facts and evaluate the credibility of sources before developing a story.

Identify accurate, relevant, and engaging story angles.

Transform complex news topics into clear and compelling narratives.

Write scripts, story outlines, dialogue, voice-over copy, and scene descriptions in English.

Create storyboards or visual briefs that can be followed by the animation and Unity teams.

Adapt stories into scenes suitable for real-time 3D animation.

Provide direction for characters, locations, camera movements, atmosphere, pacing, and visual sequences.

Collaborate with Unity developers, animators, designers, editors, and other production team members.

About you

Professional fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.

Excellent English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.

Ability to research, write, present, and discuss complex topics confidently in English.

Strong proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia.

Education in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, Media Studies, Creative Writing, Film, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Professional experience in journalism, news writing, scriptwriting, content production, or editorial storytelling.

Strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling story angles.

Excellent research, fact-checking, interviewing, and source-verification skills.

Strong narrative-writing skills, including structure, pacing, characterization, and emotional clarity.

Ability to convert written stories into clear visual directions and scene descriptions.
