Job summary

Flex seeks a Tooling Manager in Batam, Indonesia to oversee tooling requisitions from prototype through mass production, drive improvements to molds, and implement preventive maintenance for production tooling.

You will develop manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and lead tool-room training with a focus on quality and safety while delivering cost-reduction ideas and strong collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 10 years on tooling or mold design activities.
• Expert functional, technical and people/process management skills.
• Deep knowledge across complex functional areas with strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage new tooling requisitions from prototype through mass production.
• Oversee improvements, major repairs, and Engineering Change Notices to molds.
• Implement preventive maintenance for production molds.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and methods.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing tooling and processes.
• Lead quality and safety improvements in tool room training.
• Generate and implement cost reduction ideas.
