Get to Know the Team

The Group Marketplace team manages Grab's marketplaces across Southeast Asia. The team generates business insights and proposes data-driven strategic plans to grow the business across both transport and deliveries. The team owns the pricing strategy, driver supply strategy, and marketplace policies to ensure that the marketplace runs as smoothly as possible.

Get to Know the Role

As a Marketplace Manager for Grab's transport business in Indonesia, you will use data-driven insights to create a sustainable, reliable, and efficient marketplace. We often work with large datasets, deriving insights to create and drive actionable solutions. You will collaborate with different teams, including Product and Country Operations, to ensure that the solutions we run are grounded on actual consumer insights. You will report to Mobility Marketplace Senior Manager and based onsite in Grab Jakarta office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Your main responsibility is to ensure that our Mobility Marketplace operates as efficiently as possible - making sure that all customers are served with world-class experience 100% of the time at the lowest cost possible.
• You will craft pricing strategies to identify which trips to over or under incentivise with the main objective of improving our reliability in the most cost-effective way possible
• You will be responsible for co-creating programs and policies to shape driver behavior to improve our overall reliability
• You will own programs end-to-end, all the way from data crunching and insights generation up until program execution and performance monitoring.
• You will analyze metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 6 years in Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Science role with hands on experience in using SQL/Python for data queries/analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Foundation in statistics and practical experience with controlled experiments in the industry.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of both data analysis and successfully launching and running programs
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross functional environment
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like PowerBI
