Job summary

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk is seeking a capable project finance analyst to assist the project analysis manager in building and refining financial models for Merdeka's mining projects, and to help prepare budgets and capital/operating cost inputs.

You will work with cross-functional teams including commercial, engineering, and finance to benchmark costs, review production inputs, and support feasibility study documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, MBA, or postgraduate financial qualifications are an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in the mineral mining sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project analysis manager in preparing and developing financial models for Merdeka projects.
• Assist in preparing the first-pass trade-off for the preliminary technical study.
• Prepare capital and operating cost inputs for project evaluations (equipment, labour, camps).
• Liaise with commercial personnel regarding royalties, taxation, depreciation, and other accounting treatments.
• Review inputs to models for completeness and soundness using mining knowledge.
• Benchmark Merdeka data against other Indonesian mining operations where available.
• Develop budgets and monitor actuals against forecasts with mining-sense checks.
• Contribute to feasibility study documentation as necessary.
