Weir Minerals Indonesia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex mining projects in Indonesia. Based in Jakarta with a hybrid work arrangement and travel to sites as required, you will oversee planning, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 10+ years in mining, with expertise in material handling and fixed plant systems, plus strong PM and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in engineering and construction projects.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the mining industry, focusing on material handling and fixed plant systems.
• Strong project management skills including scheduling, cost control, estimating, and resource allocation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia for effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Develop and oversee project budgets aligned with schedule milestones and scope commitments; track cost variations and implement controls.
• Serve as the central communication point between project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders; manage expectations and provide updates.
• Assemble and lead project teams, assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and motivate members to achieve objectives.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on delivery.
• Apply technical knowledge in material handling and fixed plant equipment to meet project requirements.
• Occasional travel to subcontractors, vendors, and key customer sites within Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia.
• Demonstrate a 100% commitment to safety and zero-harm culture.
