  • Provides first level of supervision over several mining sections of the mining production resources at the mine projects to achieve the production targets and objectives of the project in accordance with the project parameters and guidelines.
Job Responsibilities

Key Metrics

Responsible for implementing short-term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process and providing the necessary production parameters needed by BMP on a continuous feedback basis to enable short-term control to achieve the long-term mine plan. Short-term detailed mine execution plans at the position level using the BMP process are successfully implemented.

Supervise the performance of operators, technicians, lead hands, and unskilled personnel in mining operations during shifts by using the BMP process and short-term variance analysis. Ensure the performance of operators and technicians is well-supervised.

Monitor and control mining production and productivity on an hourly basis, including at loading/unloading points, to ensure smooth daily operations. Confirm that day-to-day operations are smooth.

Maintain good communication and relationships with the client representative at the pit area. Establish and sustain effective communication and relationships with client representatives.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibilities, including identifying, mitigating, and monitoring SHE risks. Ensure SHE Management System compliance with official standards, requirements, and procedures, and confirm the execution of SHE responsibilities to meet the intended outcomes, such as:

  • Maintaining SHE risks
  • Achieving Target Zero LTI
  • Ensuring SHE Management System compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP standards and requirements
Education

High School Graduate in Engineering

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years as a Mining Operator Lead Hand for high school graduates and 1 year as a Mining Foreman for mining engineering graduates.
  • Having a POP certificate is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mining operations and SHE standards.
  • Willing to be based at project sites.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • May be required to work flexible hours to meet project requirements.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, is an advantage.
