Overview
This role is responsible for inspecting factory machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency, and coordinating with maintenance teams to support ongoing operations in a palm oil processing environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of all factory machinery.
- Address recurring issues and obstacles in the field that disrupt production processes.
- Collect data and measurements, such as weekly vibration & temperature measurements, periodic thickness & chain elongation, and safety valve weekly readings, reflecting current conditions.
- Analyze machinery damages and propose orders for parts and materials.
- Enhance communication with senior planners, maintenance assistants, and maintenance superintendents to support maintenance activities.
- Review production cycle procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety, proper maintenance, and disposal of non‑compliant items.
- Generate daily and weekly reports on inspections, vibration, temperature measurements, thickness measurements, failure analysis, and other relevant reports as needed.
- Ensure subordinates understand and follow given work instructions.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in palm oil factory inspection procedures.
- Familiar with palm oil processing processes.
- Understanding of the principles of operation and maintenance of palm oil factory machinery.
- Knowledgeable in the electrical systems and functions of palm oil factory machinery.
- Proficient in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) within a factory environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field.
- Minimum DIII Engineering education, preferably in S1 Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
