Job summary

Altius Hospitals Puri Indah is seeking a Microbiology Analyst to perform microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods, including sterility, bioburden, and pathogen detection tests.

You will monitor the cleanliness of sterile rooms and labs, prepare culture media, operate and calibrate equipment, and ensure safe disposal of hazardous waste in line with GMP/GLP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, or biochemistry.
• Min. 2 years experience as Microbiology Analyst.
• Certifications like ASCP or certified specialist credentials help in clinical or specialized setting.
• Sterile handling of samples, cultures, and media to prevent cross-contamination.
• Knowledge of GMP and GLP.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products (sterility, bioburden, TPC, pathogen tests).
• Monitor cleanliness of sterile rooms, production areas, and laboratory facilities via surface swabs, air tests, and water quality checks.
• Prepare culture media, standard solutions, and reagents and manage their inventory.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, and microscopes.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous biological waste per safety and biosafety standards.
