Job summary

Altius Hospitals Puri Indah is seeking a detail-oriented Histology Lab Technician to perform tissue processing, sectioning, and staining for microscopic examination. You will operate microscopes, microtomes, and reagents, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and document results for management review.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Health Analyst or Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM).
• Often requires specialized anatomical pathology technician certification or a valid Registration Certificate (STR).
• High precision, understanding of histotechnology, and specimen management skills.
• Having proven minimum 1 years of experience in the same position
• Good understanding of laboratory information systems and automated laboratory equipment

Responsibilities

• Sectioning, processing, and staining tissue (histopathology/cytology) to prepare it for microscopic examination.
• Ensuring optimal functioning of laboratory equipment such as microscopes, microtomes, and chemicals/reagents.
• Maintaining a clean work area in accordance with patient safety principles.
• Document all activities, results and report back to management.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
• Classify and label samples.
