Get to Know the Role

Follow strategies to attract new merchants and create business opportunities, working with team members to meet goals. Build relationships with potential merchants, explaining Grab's value, and stay updated on market trends to adjust strategies. You will report to the Merchant Partner Manager and work onsite from the Surabaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
  • Develop merchant acquisition strategies to attract new leads and maximize business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners to achieve merchant acquisition goals.
  • Build relationships with potential merchants, introducing them to Grab’s ecosystem and value proposition.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and meet merchant needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end merchant acquisition process—from initial outreach to onboarding—ensuring a smooth handover to the account management team.
  • Track daily progress against targets, provide feedback, and implement performance improvements.
  • Provide structured updates with clear action items, partners, and ETAs to ensure timely resolution of tasks.
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and productivity.
  • Be open to traveling and staying for 1 to 2 months in cities across East Java, including Jember, Madiun, Kediri, Malang, and Surabaya.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
  • University degree or higher in Business or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales.
  • Experience with sales funneling and canvassing strategies.
  • Relevant industry experience, including Customer Service, Account Management, and Business Development.
  • Background in the F&B industry.
  • Proficiency in English and experience engaging with prospects.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex funnel dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to design insightful dashboards or trackers.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities effectively.
