Job summary

Overview

Oversee the procurement of Fruits, both imported and local, in alignment with the company’s product range and sales targets. Ensure all Fresh & FMCG products meet quality standards while maintaining competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, build strong partnerships, and negotiate favorable terms to optimize cost efficiency.
• Monitor and manage quality control (QC) processes for procured products to uphold company standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stores, ensuring effective communication and execution of strategies, promotions, clearances, and key focus areas.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports on procurement spending and category performance.

What we're looking for

• Minimum Diploma Degree in any field
• Experience of at least 3 years in merchandiser, purchasing or local buyer roles, preferably in the Retail, Supermarket, or Hypermarket industry
• Strong understanding of Fresh especially Fruits product, market trends, and consumer preferences
• Strong experience across multiple homeware sub-categories, with an established network of supplier contacts
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Passionate about buying and sourcing, with a strong understanding of compliance considerations and a commitment to securing market-leading deals
• Adaptable and resilient, able to work under tight deadlines and navigate changes in the dynamic retail industry
• Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of establishing and maintaining positive vendor relationships
• Highly honest, responsible, proactive, and creative, with a strong work ethic
• Proficiency in English is a must
• Willing to be placed at BSD - Tangerang
