Job description

Medical Science Liaison (Cell Therapy) Supervisor

About the role
Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Science Liaison (Cell Therapy) Supervisor to join our Clinical/Medical Research division. This is a full-time position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta, where you will play a pivotal role in leading our medical science liaison team within the cell therapy space. As supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of medical science liaisons whilst maintaining your own strategic relationships with key healthcare professionals and opinion leaders. This role is essential to ensuring the successful dissemination of scientific evidence and supporting healthcare providers in delivering advanced cell therapy treatments to patients.

Key responsibilities
  • 1. Scientific Exchange & Medical Education
    - Lead scientific discussions with physicians and healthcare teams on mechanism of action, clinical rationale, patient selection, administration considerations, and safety monitoring for stem cell and its derivatives products.
    - Deliver ongoing education through scientific visits, journal reviews, slide sessions, and clinical literature updates, tailored by specialty (orthopaedics, dermatology, neurology, fertility, etc.).
    - Serve as the internal “go-to” for clinical/scientific questions from the field, ensuring responses are accurate, consistent, and evidence-based.
  • 2. Insight Generation: Scientific Feedback & Evidence Capture (Real World Evidence/RWE)
    - Systematically collect medical insights from doctors after product use (effectiveness signals, protocol variations, patient selection, outcomes, limitations, practical barriers).
    - Convert field learnings into structured outputs (e.g., insight reports, RWE summaries, case documentation packages) that can support internal decision-making.
    - Identify unmet needs and emerging clinical trends to guide evidence priorities (what data is missing, what endpoints matter to doctors, what protocols are realistic).
  • 3. Research Collaboration Leadership (Investigator-Led & Company-Supported Evidence)
    - Proactively identify and develop research opportunities with KOLs (case series, observational studies, registries, small mechanistic studies).
    - Lead scientific alignment discussions with investigators: research question, study design concept, inclusion/exclusion, endpoints, follow-up schedule, data elements, and publication plan.
  • 4. KOL Development & Scientific Network Management
    - Build, map influence pathways, and maintain a KOL network focused on clinical evidence generation and scientific advocacy.
    - Facilitate peer-to-peer scientific exchange (case sharing meetings, advisory boards, clinical roundtables) and ensure discussion outputs are documented and actioned.
  • 5. Medical Governance, Safety Culture & Cross-functional Bridge
    - Act as the scientific bridge between field and internal stakeholders by translating clinical feedback into actionable recommendations for: training needs, protocol standardization, message refinement, and evidence gaps.
    - Partner with PV by ensuring field feedback includes safety signals and encouraging appropriate AE awareness/reporting (without replacing PV’s formal process).
    - Support internal readiness by reviewing/creating scientific field materials (FAQs, slide decks, scientific response letters) aligned with evidence and compliant communication standards.
  • 6. Internal Capability Building (Scientific Enablement)
    - Train commercial/field teams on core scientific narratives (what we know, what we don’t know, proper claims boundaries) so doctor communication stays credible and consistent.
    - Provide scientific input for new product/channel readiness: key evidence, anticipated objections, discussion pathways by specialty, and scientific differentiation vs competitors.
What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field; advanced degree (MSc/PharmD/MD/PhD) is a plus, with strong ability to interpret clinical and scientific literature.

At least 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaison, clinical research, or scientific field roles within pharma/biopharma/ATMP, preferably related to cell therapy, biologics, orthopaedics, dermatology, neurology, or regenerative medicine.

Proven capability to lead high-quality scientific exchange with physicians and KOLs, including discussing mechanism of action, clinical rationale, patient selection, administration considerations, and safety monitoring in a balanced, evidence-based manner.

Demonstrated experience in collecting and synthesizing field medical insights (post-use feedback, outcomes, protocol variations, unmet needs, and safety signals) and translating them into structured internal reports that guide strategy, education, and evidence generation priorities.

Experience supporting or initiating evidence generation activities (e.g., case series, observational studies, registries, investigator-led research), including ability to align with investigators on study concepts, endpoints, data elements.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across marketing/sales/clinical teams while maintaining medical governance and compliance standards.
