Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Bintan, Indonesia

Direct Manager: Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage all mechanical documents required for contract tenders, submissions, and compliance, including general arrangement drawings, pre-sales drawings, and URS compliance.
  • Customize designs based on standard units and create updated 3D drawings in SolidWorks.
  • Develop and manage an accurate Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) within target costs, coordinating with other engineers.
  • Identify suitable standard parts and source new components in coordination with the warehouse and purchasing team.
  • Fulfill technical product requirements, such as test protocols, calculations, and supplier drawings, until installation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and verify designs, addressing potential risks.
  • Ensure customized units meet standards through testing, and update 3D drawings for future reference.
  • Provide operation and maintenance details by preparing user manuals in coordination with the documentation team.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Design.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks; experience with AutoCAD, and other 2D/3D CAD/CAM software is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Skilled in creating parts, multi-component assemblies, and dimensioned drawings to company standards.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), including stack-up and optimization.
  • Knowledge of materials, sheet metal fabrication (cutting, welding), CFD, and processes like injection molding, die-casting, and machining.
  • Basic knowledge of P&ID and Electrical.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information.
