Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications & Experience

• Exposure in the palm oil or chemical process industry will be an added advantage.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years related working experience.
• Able to communicate in English is a MUST

Tasks & Responsibilities

• To support the Project Manager in project implementation and execution, to achieve goals in safety, quality, schedule and budget.
• Perform technical studies, design, tender, implementation for assigned tasks.
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems.
• The candidate will join the commissioning and operation team as a Senior/Mechanical Engineer.
• Assist in managing mechanical workshops to ensure maximum utilization of resources to support production operation with minimum equipment downtime.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to improve plant reliability. Implementation of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance and upkeep works of the mechanical related items and facilities.
• To do hands-on troubleshooting and perform corrective maintenance of any mechanical breakdowns and faults. Perform root cause analysis and preventive measures to ensure plant reliability to support the company in achieving business goals.
• Monitor expenditure on maintenance, identify and recommend potential areas of saving.
• Prepare and generate technical materials required for training programs, standard operating procedures and mechanical maintenance reports.
• Assist to drive continuous improvement initiatives as required where line/systems improvements require support/contributions from the Maintenance Department.
