Fitch Group is seeking a Master Data Management Operations Team Lead to head the Jakarta-based MDM operations team. You will collaborate with Data and Technology colleagues, strengthen regional collaboration, and foster an inclusive team environment while ensuring data accuracy for Legal Entity and Security datasets.

The role demands 5–7 years in financial services or related data domains, 1–2 years in team leadership, and solid experience with MDM tools and data governance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Financial Services, Financial Information Services, Market Data, Reference Data, Master Data Management or related environment.
• 1-2 years of experience leading, coaching or coordinating a small team.
• Solid understanding of Legal Entity and Security data.
• Fundamental knowledge of databases and how they work.
• Prior experience with a Master Data Management tool is highly desired.
• Excellent administration and communication skills, highly organized and methodical.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead local team of data operations staff to maintain Legal Entity and Security data for all downstream consumers, ensuring high data quality and adherence to policies.
• Supervise all data and tech resources in the local site.
• Provide domain knowledge to assist with business challenges and data-related queries and client support.
• Establish procedures and policies to ensure data accuracy and coverage levels, with proper documentation and training.
• Participate in workshops and requirements reviews within the MDM squad to design fit-for-purpose solutions.

The MDM Operations Team Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the Jakarta-based MDM Operations team. The role also acts as a local point of contact for Data and Technology colleagues, helping to strengthen collaboration, share local insights with regional teams, and foster an inclusive and engaging team environment.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Lead local team of data operations staff to maintain Legal Entity and Security data for all downstream consumers, ensuring high data quality and adherence to policies
• Supervise all data and tech resources in the local site
• Provide content set domain knowledge and expertise to assist with business challenges and data-related queries and client support
• Establish procedures and policies to ensure data accuracy and coverage levels, and ensure robust documentation is in place and training is provided to support all aspects of good data governance
• Participate in workshops and requirements review sessions within the MDM squad to understand data-related problems and help design fit-for-purpose solutions

What You Need to Have:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Financial Services, Financial Information Services, Market Data, Reference Data, Master Data Management or a related environment
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in leading, coaching, mentoring or coordinating a small team
• Solid understanding of Legal Entity and Security data
• Fundamental knowledge of databases and how they work would be a plus
• Prior experience of working with a Master Data Management tool as a user is highly desired
• Excellent administration and communication skills, with a highly organised and methodical approach to work
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
