Job summary

Veritas Intercultural School Bali is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher (Design focus) for its secondary team in Bali. The role combines mathematical instruction with design thinking to help students apply math concepts to real-world problems.

You will design engaging curricula and collaborate across disciplines in a vibrant intercultural school community. Ideal candidates hold a math teaching degree with secondary-level experience, are proficient in English, and have exposure to IB/IGCSE

Qualifications

• Qualified Mathematics teacher with a degree in Mathematics or Education.
• Experience teaching at secondary level, preferably international schools.
• Strong grasp of contemporary pedagogical approaches and design thinking.
• Experience blending mathematics with design thinking, STEM or interdisciplinary learning.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with IGCSE/IB or similar international curricula is desirable.
• Experience with technology-enhanced learning and digital tools.
• Commitment to student-centred instruction and differentiation.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Passion for education, innovation and intercultural understanding.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver mathematics lessons that integrate design thinking and real-world applications.
• Develop creative, student-centred learning experiences fostering critical thinking.
• Assess progress with formative and summative methods and provide feedback.
• Create an inclusive classroom where all students are supported to succeed.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects linking mathematics with design and other subjects.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress.
• Engage with IB curriculum where possible and communicate with parents.
• Participate in school events and contribute to curriculum development.
