Job summary

Converse, Inc. in Jakarta is seeking a Material Costing Analyst II to optimize materials cost management with footwear suppliers, driving analytics and cost efficiency to support growth and profitability.

You will manage data, lead bi-annual reviews and negotiations, and develop dashboards to track key metrics. Collaborating across Product Creation, Engineering, Sourcing, Costing, Quality, and Sustainability, you will deliver insights, drive cost-saving initiatives, and help scale our materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of material costing, footwear manufacturing, production, or supply chain experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power Query, Sigma; Snowflake preferred).
• Project management skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with information management systems.
• Ability to work across functions and cultures in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end material costing management with footwear material suppliers and maximize value capture through analytics.
• Drive material cost efficiency initiatives to support Converse business growth and financial improvement.
• Maintain material cost data and analytics for bi-annual reviews and negotiations.
• Lead round-by-round negotiations with material suppliers from development through finalization.
• Establish and maintain material cost structures with suppliers.
• Collect and analyze material cost breakdowns to identify cost improvement opportunities.
• Support material market intelligence forecasting through data research and analysis.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs.
• Identify trends and areas for improvement based on data.
• Create process documentation and training materials for costing processes.
