GHM operates some of the world’s most luxurious and distinguished hotels under the award-winning The Chedi brand – from the snow-capped mountains of Andermatt in Switzerland to the rich history of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, the spectacular views of the Gulf of Oman in Muscat and the pristine waters of Luštica Bay in Montenegro.

In 2026, the first The Serai Hotel & Resorts, the new luxury lifestyle brand of GHM, will be opening on the island of Belitung in Indonesia.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing & Communication Manager to join our pre-opening and opening team.

The role involves developing and executing the hotel's marketing and communication strategy, including brand positioning, media relations, digital marketing, public relations, and promotional activities to boost brand visibility and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with business goals.
  • Execute seasonal, room, F&B, and event-related marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Sales, F&B, Spa, and other departments on promotional initiatives.
  • Manage the hotel's digital presence including website, social media, email marketing, and online reputation platforms.
  • Plan and schedule engaging content across platforms, monitor digital performance (reach, engagement, CTR), and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local and international media, influencers, and bloggers.
  • Coordinate press releases, media interviews, and press conferences.
  • Organize media visits, FAM trips, and influencer collaborations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for new technology initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials.
  • Manage production of collaterals and promotional tools.
  • Work with designers, photographers, and videographers to create high-quality content.
  • Support hotel events with marketing, before, during, and after.
  • Explore strategic partnerships with brands, local businesses, and tourism boards.
  • Participate in community and CSR activities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor ROI of marketing initiatives and report performance to management.
  • Prepare and manage the marketing communications budget.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and market trend analysis.

Qualifications Required:

  • Pre-opening and opening experience is highly regarded.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in hospitality or lifestyle brand marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, SEO/SEM, and media relations.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills (English and local language).
  • Creative thinker with project management and leadership abilities. Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
