Work Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Travel Requirement: up to 20%

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.

Domestic relocation is available for this position.

What You Will Do:

  • Training and developing teams capable of completing business objectives and perform and support the plant operating functions.

  • Coordinating tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc.

  • Coordinating capital projects for process enhancement and to improve customer satisfaction, conducting research and ensuring proper approvals.

  • Coordinating the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.

What Skills You Have:

  • Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.

  • Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

  • Judgment, Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.

  • Capacity Planning & Management: Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.

  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

  • Experience Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar role. Preferably, prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in heavy machinery or large components with assembly processes.

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is essential.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying mechanical drawings for complex assembly processes.

    • Skilled in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, particularly Creo, to support design and manufacturing initiatives.

    • Proficient in leveraging assembly-focused applications such as Teamcenter to manage product data and streamline workflows.

  • Process Knowledge: Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Proven experience in managing departmental functions related to capital projects, including cost control, budgeting, and resource planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):

  • This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
