A leading footwear brand seeks a Manufacturing Director to oversee production quality and efficiency. The role involves making strategic decisions, building high-performing teams, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering and extensive experience in the footwear sector, specifically in leather production.
The manufacturing director is in charge of quality, production, manufacturing efficiency (ME) targets the area in charge.

Description
Make both strategic and operational decisions to drive optimal results across all aspects of production, including quality, output, efficiency, and adherence to the footwear brand standards.
Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with factory leadership to build high-performing production teams.
Partner with factory General Managers and senior leaders to address key initiatives such as operator skills assessment, workforce training and development, and equipment investment planning.
Promote and ensure consistent implementation of best practices, key initiatives, and aligned messaging across all factories, particularly in quality, production, and engineering/manufacturing innovation.
Leverage deep manufacturing expertise to coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
Develop and guide team members to maintain high performance standards, build relevant skill sets, and ensure robust succession planning.
Lead by example to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.
Profile
Must have experience in the footwear industry, specifically from the brand/manufacturer side; background in leather footwear production is highly preferred.
Demonstrates excellent fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to manage multi-site manufacturing operations, with a monthly output of millions of pairs of footwear.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years across two or more functional areas.
At least 3 years of experience in a people management role.
Strong expertise in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex projects.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
Proven capability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business tools
