A leading footwear brand is seeking a Manufacturing Director to drive quality, production efficiency, and team development. This role involves strategic decision-making and collaboration with factory leaders to enhance manufacturing operations. The manufacturing director is responsible for quality, production, and manufacturing efficiency targets within the area.

Make strategic and operational decisions to optimize results across all aspects of production, including quality, output, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards.
Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with factory leadership to build high-performing production teams.
Partner with factory General Managers and senior leaders on initiatives such as operator skills assessment, workforce training, development, and equipment planning.
Promote and ensure consistent implementation of best practices and key initiatives across factories, focusing on quality, production, and engineering innovation.
Leverage manufacturing expertise to coach, mentor, and upskill team members.
Develop team members to maintain high performance, build relevant skills, and ensure succession planning.
Lead by example to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture.
Experience in the footwear industry, particularly from the brand or manufacturer side; leather footwear production experience is highly preferred.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to manage multi-site manufacturing operations with a monthly output of millions of pairs.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years across multiple functional areas.
At least 3 years in a people management role.
Strong expertise in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
Successful track record in leading complex projects.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
