Job description
Manufacturing Analyst (Finance/Product Costing)
  • The Manufacturing Analyst is part of the Finance team, responsible for providing regular reports related to manufacturing, as required by both the Group and internal management. This role ensures accurate financial reporting across the organization by collaborating closely with various departments and leadership.
  • This role is expected to provide robust financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision of the business. Manufacturing analyst must be detail-oriented with expert knowledge of financial reporting practices. They should have solid working knowledge of reporting tools used in financial reporting, including standards, proficiency with spreadsheet is essential. He/she must be able to work independently and can interact with co-workers and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Management & Analysis

  • Responsible for providing timely, relevant accurate journal to support monthly closing in the scope of inventory provision, import cost accrual, packing fee accrual, transport and storage accrual, PPV/IPV Charge Off, stock revaluation, and market adder.
  • Perform monthly Inventory reconciliation and GRNI ageing report distributed for use of all Finance during the reporting processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
  • Provide an insightful working capital commentary with regards to inventory and COGS analysis to management to drive business results.
  • Responsible for performing special projects with regards to business strategy as assigned by Management.
  • Perform regular stock count and Bill of Material (BOM) as required from management.
  • Support Insights Manager on 3-year business plan and annual budget process by providing accurate simulation of standard cost calculation following agreed timeline and coordinate with each Business Unit.
  • Participate and contribute to the financial simulation for strategic direction of the business.

Providing Support to Business Partners and Controllers

  • Ensure to deliver value added data analysis and insights in the calculation of standard cost to support business partner for innovation products
  • Ensure financial resources are fully integrated in the business across all functions.
  • Understand the brands and consumers to provide valuable insights to business.
  • Engage with marketing, plant & supply chain teams to explore / understand performance drivers, co-develop potential corrective actions and quantify potential opportunities.
  • Develop clear communication with the business.
  • Financial insights are supported by consistent measures of value and transparent assumptions.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in roles within the manufacturing operations, data analysis, or process improvement preferably in FMCG/dairy industry.
  • Strong skills in relationship and alliance building, influencing with proven ability to manage business partnerships and relationships at a senior level
  • An acceptance of personal accountability and desire for collaboration

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic expertise
