Role Description

The Mandarin Teacher is a part-time, on-site role based in Greater Medan. This role involves planning and delivering engaging Mandarin lessons for students of all ages, using play-based and interactive teaching methods aligned with the academy’s learning philosophy. The teacher will facilitate classroom activities, monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, assessing learning outcomes, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with families about students’ learning journeys.

Qualifications

• Strong Mandarin language teaching skills, including Chinese Teaching and Teaching experience with play-based approach.
• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation tailored to different age groups
• Excellent Communication skills to engage learners and collaborate with families and team members.
• Experience working in classroom or education center settings, preferably in language programs.
• Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive, and learner-centered classroom environments.
• Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm in teaching.
• Relevant teaching certification or degree in Education, Language Teaching, or a related discipline is an advantage.
