Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia seeks an International Logistics Director to lead Indonesia operations for a global logistics and supply chain group. The role focuses on expanding markets, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring efficient cross-border logistics across sea and airfreight, warehousing, and bonded logistics.

The ideal candidate will bring 6–8 years of international logistics leadership, strong commercial acumen, and experience managing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in international logistics with managerial or senior leadership experience.
• Strong experience in transportation, warehousing, bonded logistics, international sea and air freight, and supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in business development, market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic partnership development.
• Strong understanding of Indonesia's logistics industry, local regulations, bonded-zone operations, international trade, and related compliance requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, profitability management, and operational performance improvement.
• Strong risk management capabilities with the ability to establish effective controls and approval processes.
• Experience managing and developing a sizeable logistics or operations team (10–50 employees).
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel and undertake overseas assignments; on-site in Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company's logistics operations and business activities in Indonesia.
• Develop and execute Indonesia's market expansion and international logistics strategy.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop new customers, and establish strategic partnerships with local logistics stakeholders.
• Develop diversified cooperation models across transportation, warehousing, bonded logistics, international freight forwarding, and supply chain services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Indonesian customers, suppliers, business partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop business plans, budgets, cost-control strategies, and operational targets for the Indonesia market.
• Oversee financial performance, project profitability, ROI analysis, and operational efficiency to support sustainable growth.
• Establish effective risk management frameworks, internal controls, and standardized approval processes.
• Monitor Indonesian logistics regulations, industry policies, bonded-zone requirements, and international trade rules.
• Lead and develop the local logistics organization while integrating resources across commercial and operational functions.
• Coordinate with HQ and international stakeholders to implement corporate strategies in Indonesia.
• Manage operational challenges and emergencies while ensuring continuity and service quality.
