· Provide real-time verbal interpretation during meetings, briefings, and site inspections between Mandarin-speaking managers and non-Mandarin-speaking staff.
· Translate documents, notices, memos, and safety instructions from Mandarin to English (or local language) and vice versa.
· Act as a liaison between management and field staff to ensure clear communication of project expectations, work plans, and feedback.
· Assist in resolving misunderstandings or conflicts caused by language or cultural differences.
· Support HR and site admin during onboarding of Mandarin-speaking staff or workers.
· Assist in preparing bilingual materials for training, safety, and compliance.
· Accompany site managers or executives during site visits and translate interactions with staff or external parties.
· Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive or managerial communication.
· Provide cultural insights to improve communication and team collaboration.
· Perform other administrative or coordination tasks as assigned by management.
· Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Prior experience in interpretation/translation or liaison roles preferred.
· Understanding of construction or project site environments is a strong advantage.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural setting.
